PayPerPost: Lets Make Some Money

July 18th, 2008

What is PayPerPost?

According to PayPerPost.com
“Get paid for blogging. Write about web sites, products, services, and companies and earn cash for providing your opinion and valuable feedback to advertisers.”

Many blogs these days are monetizing, this blog is young so the only source of income would be the private ads to the right. So to generate some revenue I decided to sign up for PayPerPost and try and make some money.

The idea behind it is, advertisers flock to the site and advertise a sponsored post, whether it be for their product, website, company, or whatever else they need to get word of mouth out about.

This is definitely a new source of advertising, for the writer to give their own opinions on a product and still make some money is astonishing. You’re not just some random model advertising a product, you’re a writer, throwing out your opinions on products, websites, and companies and making some decent cash in return.

Don’t get the wrong idea though; I will only be posting things I find will contribute to the overall niche and theme of the blog.

So stay tuned for some important posts, that I might be paid to post!

IT industry insights

July 16th, 2008

As I am co-op’ing at an IT job I have definitely had a first hand glance at some of the IT industry. Although tedious at times, my job has been pretty uneventful. Yes, troubleshooting has its moments, but only if you do it often, and at my current job placement, the time only arises once in a while.

Mostly the reason I started this website was because there wasn’t much to do at work, and it’s definitely been the same since I started; Busy at times, and ridiculously slow most of the time.

Although I obviously am working co-op, and I clearly don’t have a full day-job workload, it seems as if I had to do this for another 20 years I would go insane. If I’m not swamped with work, I’m left blank, staring at my computer screen, yearning for something to keep me occupied until the next problem arises.

I’m sure I could find something productive to do, like making a portfolio for the next poor kid that comes in. But I find myself in a deep state of ridiculous boredom that I can’t seem to pop out of; Unless of course a ticket arises that I must take care of.

So I find myself wondering if maybe a different career path may be better for me than my currently chosen one.

Well, either that or I’m just thinking too much because its 2:16 AM and I seriously can not get to sleep.

iPhone Finally in Canada

July 14th, 2008

Well it happened; the iPhone is officially in Canada. With its sleek new look, GPS capabilities, and 3G Network it will definitely be a contender to the Blackberry’s market.

Reading the enterprise section of the iPhone’s mini-site really showed me how much they are working toward the business market. Tailoring to the business side of things will definitely sell a lot more iPhones.

Looking at the recreational side of things, the GPS and 3G network will definitely help out the everyday consumer. Whether it is arguing over a simple fact you could Google, (with 3G capabilities) or getting lost on that road you thought you knew (GPS), the new iPhone tailors very well to Average consumers as well.

All-in-all the new iPhone will definitely sell very well, with both sides of the cell phone market being tailored to, there’s no stopping the iPhone.

Fast Downloads from RapidShare.com

July 10th, 2008

I recently was considering getting a Rapid Share account, since there are many sites which have an abundance of links to various downloads (movies, games, apps, etc). Most of them not totally legal probably but that does not concern me.

Well yesterday I broke down and got a premium account for one month just to try it, it came to something around $11. So far, I’ve downloaded around 4GB of random movies (That I already legally own *wink*). And it has definitely been worth it.

The download speeds are unreal, i get an average of 170-300kbps per part. So one movie is made up of around 5-8 parts of 100mb, and im downloading 5×300kbps which comes to a grand total of 1500kbps. Which works out to around 5 minutes to download a full 500-800mb movie.

Definitely worth the $10 if you ask me.

Also, I’ve recently painted my laptop so the before and after pics will be up soon. So stay tuned!

Well I haven’t posted in like a week so I thought I would post whats going on. I have been relatively busy lately going to the gym and last week was a wonky week since Tuesday was a holiday.

Just a little update for working out: I have gained about 10 pounds since I’ve been hitting the gym… hopefully of pure muscle lol.

Also, I painted my powerbook, so I will hopefully have a video of that up soon. So stay tuned!
