Well, it’s now the beginning of the month and my blog has been up for about 2 months, my statistics for this month are as follows:

Uniques:1705

Visits:5834

Hits:73984

Technorati Rank: 797,172 (last month it was: 1,723,440)

Alexa Rank: 799,925 (last month it was: 4,799,664)

Well I pretty much doubled my traffic from last month, so thats definitely an improvement.
I have decided that private advertising is the way to go, so 125×125 ads on the right sidebar will be for sale. Click Advertise Here for more info.

Entrepreneurship: Do you have what it takes?

This is a question i ask myself, sure I can build a website and drive some people to it. But can I actually sell a product? Well maybe I can’t do it alone, but Zack and I sure can. We might be starting a business up soon.

I can’t really release and details at the moment as we are still in the startup process. But come back soon and you will see what we have been up to.

Monthly Blog Report

Well, it’s now the beginning of the month and my blog has been up for about a month so i figured i would post the stats i had for the previous month.

Uniques: 1091

Visits:3848

Hits:39811

Technorati Rank: 1,723,440

Alexa Rank: 4,799,664

Adsense Earnings: $7.73(Stopped using adsense around half way.. they are ugly)

Other Ad Networks: ~$10.00

Overall, this is definitely surprising for the first month of operation. I only made $7.73 off adsense and i made about $10 off other random ad networks. I’m just glad i got enough to pay for the hosting (5.95/mo).
So at least it’s generating some revenue!

New weekly post: How I am monetizing the blog

May 18th, 2008

i have decided that at the end of each week i will discuss how i am marketing and making money off the site.

Here’s what i did this week.

Traffic:
As you can see i put up the blogrush widget, many people think this is a good traffic generator for your blog. I also started an adwords account, which i didn’t get the free $50 for, hopefully my hateful email to them will induce a promotional coupon or something.

Making money:
I signed up for adtoll which is pay per week banner/button advertising. I signed up for it because it provides the peel-away ad you can see in the top right corner of my website. If thats not cool, i don’t know what is.More next week!
