Fast Downloads from RapidShare.com
July 10th, 2008
I recently was considering getting a Rapid Share account, since there are many sites which have an abundance of links to various downloads (movies, games, apps, etc). Most of them not totally legal probably but that does not concern me.
Well yesterday I broke down and got a premium account for one month just to try it, it came to something around $11. So far, I’ve downloaded around 4GB of random movies (That I already legally own *wink*). And it has definitely been worth it.
The download speeds are unreal, i get an average of 170-300kbps per part. So one movie is made up of around 5-8 parts of 100mb, and im downloading 5×300kbps which comes to a grand total of 1500kbps. Which works out to around 5 minutes to download a full 500-800mb movie.
Definitely worth the $10 if you ask me.
Also, I’ve recently painted my laptop so the before and after pics will be up soon. So stay tuned!

Meebo, lolwut?
June 9th, 2008
Well since i use instant messaging a lot at work, home, and wherever else i am. I’ve grown to like Meebo, whether your behind a firewall, slow pc or just Instant messaging at home, Meebo is definitely my app of choice.
What is Meebo?
It’s a web based IM client. But uses your existing accounts for GTalk, MSN, AIM, Yahoo, ICQ, Jabber and integrates them all. The advantages of using Meebo is to have all of your IM’s in one place and having no client to load up, which makes a smaller overall footprint in your PC’s performance. Well, that and it looks pretty amazing for a web app, with custom skins, and some different icons to choose from, its definitely something to take a look at.
Take a look here.

What have you StumbleUpon ‘d?
May 31st, 2008
Not that StumbleUpon is new or anything, but I’ve recently been dabbling in visiting this website. It is definitely one of the cooler things on the web today.
What it is:
Well, it’s a social community built from what sites you like. Let me get more in depth. You make an account, and then install the toolbar (below). Then tell it what your interests are. When you hit the stumbleupon button in the toolbar it takes you to a site that it thinks you would like. There are also ways for telling if you like the site or not (the thumbs up and down buttons). It notices all the stuff you like and generates more and more pages that are relevant to what you like. So the more stuff you vote for, the more targeted the stumbles are to your liking.

There is also the social aspect, which allows you to add friends, view what they have liked, their favorites. And you can even blog on it.Overall, this is definitely an awesome concept and you should check it out.

My Top 5 Reasons why Web Design is so expensive
May 29th, 2008
So recently I have inquired into getting a custom design for my blog. After
many quotes, the starting price for most web designers is around $2000.
While i could spend the money and get stand-out unique website, i would rather
not drop $2000 on this blog. So i have made the layout myself, and i am getting
it coded. Now coding can range from $50-$400. Which is chump change compared to
$2000 for a whole design.
Why are these designs to expensive you might ask? Well heres my top 5 reasons why.
5. Platform/CMS,
depending on which CMS you use, you could be paying out your ass for a design.
4. Quality
This ties in with everything, the more you pay, the better quality coding and
web design you are going to get. And another thing: Having it XHTML and CSS Valid.
3. Paying for knowledge.
They had to learn the language, and have to know it inside and out to
be a top quality designer. You dont want some 15 year old kid who just picked up
a css/xhtml book designing your website.
2. Coding takes time. time=money
man hours for creating a website for you.
And my number 1 reason is!
1. There are 162 million websites on the internet
and they are making a unique one just for you!

May 26th, 2008
Tell me those aren’t the best mix in the world. Chocolate milk has been an obsession of mine since i was little, i would always get in shit because people say it isn’t healthy. Well news flash! It’s one of the healthiest things you can drink. Yea you keep to your coke drinking, teeth rotting lives, while i live a prosperous one drinking chocolate milk! Well… my eating habits aren’t the same as my drinking, but thats another story. I notice now alot more people have taken a liking to Chocolate Milk, and i take full credit. On to Web 2.0!
What is web 2.0 you might ask? Go look it up on wikipedia FFS.
Web 2.0 is all about connecting people, like the comment boxes below. Youtube, Facebook, Myspace, Pownce, Twitter, uhhh bebo… and some other shit. It really intrigues me to see all these people connecting, to see people of all ages come together for one thing… the internet… where your freedom is media, your appereance means nothing, and your ideas are everything. So go out! Connect with people you’ve never met before, whether it be in the UK, US, or Canada… its Web 2.0!
How does Chocolate milk and web 2.0 tie in together?![]()
Well just like when i got shit on for drinking chocolate milk, i would get shit on for being on the internet alot. With chocolate milk and web 2.0 getting popular, it’s only natural people who like it will be too! Stay tuned for shane jonas, the most popular chocolatey milk web 2.0 guy out there!
