Teaching
Shane has over 17 years of teaching experience. He currently works at Kellman Elementary School on Chicago’s west side for the past 15 years. At Kellman he has taught general music education as well as technology, and music technology. Click the picture on the right to see some music videos he created with his students.
Clinics
Shane has had the unique privilege of working with students and their music all over the United States. He has been invited to perform as a guest artist and clinician at the Denver School of the Arts, Tarleton State University, University of Colorado (Jazz History Class), Jazz Educators Network Convention in New Orleans, Bronx Music Heritage Center, Whitney Young High School, Decatur High School, Electra High School, and Kaufman High School where he was also asked to commission a work entitled, “Keep on Burnin'”.
Jonas has a unique passion for music and how it enhances the lives of those who desire to learn how to play. He would love nothing more than to work with your school’s bands and help you get them to play at their highest potential.
